About Max
Max Merrill grew up around the water in Southern California, where boating became a part of his life from an early age. Some of his favorite childhood memories were family trips to Catalina Island, spending time on the water and experiencing the unique lifestyle that comes with being around boats. That early connection to boating developed into a lasting passion for being on the water and exploring the Southern California coast.
Today, Max brings that familiarity with the local boating community, along with his professional background in insurance, to his work as a Trawler Specialist with JMYS. His insurance experience gives him a unique perspective when helping clients navigate the many considerations that come with owning a boat, from understanding risk and protection to helping buyers and sellers through the details of a transaction.
Max enjoys getting to know his clients, understanding how they plan to use their boat, and helping them find a vessel that fits their lifestyle and cruising goals.
