2026 West Coast Selene Rendevous Recap

2026 West Coast Selene Rendevous Recap

April 15-19, 2026 | Roche Harbor, WA

Congratulations to the participants, organizers, and sponsors who attended the 2026 West Coast Selene Rendezvous. What a fantastic event with a beautiful venue, wonderful people, and perfectly cooperative weather!

This year’s final count included 35 Selene yachts on the docks, along with another dozen or so Selene owners and enthusiasts who traveled in to participate. JMYS is proud to sponsor both the West Coast and East Coast Selene Rendezvous events, and we truly believe these gatherings are among the best opportunities for owners to connect, share experiences, and support one another. They also provide a fabulous introduction for those considering becoming part of the Selene family.

Roche Harbor, WA proved once again to be an incredible destination and an easy place to convince people to visit for a few days. Event organizers, Geary Long and Bee Hanson, along with the many owners and volunteers who helped behind the scenes, did another spectacular job putting everything together.

There were plenty of activities, everyone was well fed, and most importantly, we spent valuable face-to-face time with people who share a passion for the cruising lifestyle.

The Selene Rendezvous program has been perfected after many years of organizing and refining. There is an educational component as well and this year the featured presenter was Steve D’Antonio who had two amazing lectures in the speaker tent. I didn’t make all of the presentations, but I did sit in on the Mexico cruising talk with Pat Rains and the Panama Canal discussion with John Rains. All three of these presenters are long-term friends of Jeff and provided a wealth of information.

A special thank you goes out to Selene Americas and Jet Tern Marine for serving as the primary sponsors of the event. The energy and enthusiasm surrounding the Selene brand has never been stronger, and the momentum continues to build. Of course, it would be meaningless if we didn’t have such an amazing group of Selene owners whose enthusiasm is infectious.

It is hard to name people as we don’t want to overlook anyone, but special recognition to the driving forces of Selene Americas; Wayne Goldman, Paul Cifka, Dylan Hildebrand and Michael Chen. We’d like to also thank Arina Chen (daughter of Selene/Jet Tern founder/designer, Howard Chen for representing the factory and meeting with so many owners.

Steve D’Antonio conducted several engine room inspections on a first come, sign up basis sharing his knowledge and ideas so everyone can improve.

One of the highlights of the rendezvous was a live-stream visit from Nathan and Lindsey of “The 71 Percent.” They “beamed” in from the South Pacific to serenade us during the Saturday dinner. Many of you already follow their incredible Pacific crossing aboard their Selene 49 through YouTube and Instagram. Their adventure continues to inspire cruisers everywhere.

These gatherings are always a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends while making many new ones along the way. During the rendezvous, Jeff had the opportunity to board and film videos aboard three different Selene models:

These videos are now available on the JMYS YouTube channel.

The SYA team also filmed Jeff during a Dock Walk and Talk tour, which has recently been posted on the JMYS YouTube channel as well. The video offers viewers a great perspective on the number of boats and people who came together to make this rendezvous such a success.

The next Selene Rendezvous will be held on the East Coast in Baltimore, Maryland this September. JMYS will be there, and we hope to see many more Selene owners from along the Atlantic coast. Many East Coast owners spend time cruising the Bahamas before returning north for the summer to enjoy the Chesapeake Bay, Maine, and Nova Scotia, staying clear of predicted hurricane zones along the way.

Selene yachts truly can do it all.

The boats themselves are amazing, but it’s always the people who make these events so memorable and interesting.

If you would like to learn more about new or pre-owned Selene yachts, I would be happy to speak with you. We currently have several brokerage listings available, with additional opportunities coming soon.
