Krogen 48 Whaleback Trawler Tour - TrawlAboard Episode 33

#TrawlAboard everyone!

Welcome to the Kadey-Krogen 48 Whaleback, Karma.

This vessel is not listed for sale by JMYS.

JMYS was an event sponsor for the 2026 Krogen Cruisers Rendezvous held at Calvert Marina in Solomons, MD. During the event, Jeff was invited aboard by several Kadey-Krogen owners for a tour of their trawlers which led to a series of TrawlAboard videos we are pleased to share.

The Krogen Cruisers group is a fantastic owners association, and with the sad demise of the Kadey-Krogen corporation in July of 2026, the active owners have taken it upon themselves to celebrate the trawler lifestyle with an infectious enthusiasm.

Don’t tell the boats, they are running just fine and the owners have never been stronger.

The Kadey-Krogen brand made it just shy of 50 years and completed over 600 boats, there are a lot of wonderful trawlers out cruising.

Karma is a 2005 model year, Kadey-Krogen 48 Whaleback.

She is a double wide deck configuration with raised pilothouse.

Interior layout:
Two staterooms
Two heads

Machinery:
John Deere main engine
Northern Lights 12kW generator

This is the thirty-third episode in our TrawlAboard series – a collection of trawler tours filmed on the docks at events around the country.

We are grateful to our friends and clients who invited us to film and show you each trawler as if you were on board during the event for your own personal tour.

Thank you for viewing this episode. We appreciate your encouraging thumbs up and supportive comments.

We hope to continue with other trawler brands and models at various locations as time and opportunity allow.

Jeff also filmed Krogen Cruisers Rendezvous recap video tour showcasing this event which will be posted once all of the #TrawlAboards and a new interview series of #KrogenKonversations videos have been published.
