Tug of War
We are witnessing this old children’s game playing out on the world stage and to us it’s tarif-fying.
Pulling with all your strength to try to overwhelm your opponent used to be an Olympic sport over 100 years ago. The friendly version of trying to tug the other side across the line harkens to simpler days and friendly competition.
Opposing forces in life create a balancing act filled with choices in the middle.
Can you tip the balance from wait to go? How much longer will you keep a tight grip and pull? Now may be time to let go, better yet, why not turn let go to “let’s go!”
There will always be a reason to put off your plans. At this stage would you prefer to dig in your heels or kick off your heels?
When days are uncertain…wouldn’t you be happier toppling your hesitation and heading in a new direction?
Games like tug of war always end.
