Introduction
Pegasus is a 2007 Blaine Seeley-designed Seahorse 52 built in Zhuhai, China. She is hull number 21 of this very popular series. She is offered for sale by her second owners, who have cruised her for the past 7 years and have put her on the market to attend to other interests. Pegasus is a widebody, two-stateroom 52' long-range cruiser with flybridge that has been owned and operated by an experienced cruising couple and exceptionally cared for, with many upgrades and improvements.
Pegasus is powered by twin John Deere 4045TFM75 mains, and features include a Sea Gyro stabilizer with dedicated Magnum 230V pure sine wave inverter, a Sidepower SP 95 24VDC bow thruster, a 9 kW Northern Lights generator, and an Offshore Marine Labs Sea Quencher 200 GPD 24V watermaker with new membranes installed in 2016. In September 2017, during a thorough pre-sale inspection, the owners uncovered a problem with the port main engine caused by a preventable operator error that resulted in significant seawater ingress; the port engine was consequently replaced with a factory-reconditioned "like new" engine, and the starboard engine, which had similar but much less significant damage, was rebuilt. Pegasus now has two engines rebuilt with mostly new components, tested under load during sea trials.
