Introduction
Painkiller is an ideal trawler for any couple to enjoy the cruising lifestyle. The 39th hull in the series, she benefits from extensive updating as she has continually refined her cruising pedigree. She is comfortable to live aboard, for weekend getaways or for months on end.
The Selene 43 is a modest sized trawler with exceptional features. Easy for two to maintain, she has the classic two stateroom, two head layout. The raised pilothouse makes for better visibility underway and a separation of space from the other living areas. The engine room has easy access. The outside deck space has a swim platform and cockpit with double side decks. The Portuguese bridge connects to the foredeck and the boat deck connects to the flybridge.
Cockpit
The cockpit is a utility area that can be used for fishing or relaxing under the shade of the boat deck. There are three cockpit boarding doors — port, starboard and aft. Under the cockpit decking is the lazarette, a large storage area that houses the steering components and other systems. The swim platform has staple rails, a hot and cold freshwater shower, hand rails and a swim ladder.

Commissary
Inside the saloon entrance there is a floor hatch giving access to a large storage space called the commissary. A teak two-step ladder takes you to the hull level and the sole is covered with durable vinyl. There is a bilge pump system below the sole hatch. There are several lockers with louvered doors, one with a divided tilt-area matrix for wine bottles. Outboard to port is a locker with intake through-hull and strainer for the lazarette water maker, as well as the air conditioning compressor. The Frigoboat freezer is aft to starboard (out of service). The outboard starboard locker houses the main engine water lift muffler.
Galley
The forward section of the entry level houses the galley. It is practical and efficient with the necessary appliances including a Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer, a Force 10 three-burner stove and oven with broiler, and a GE Profile microwave/convection oven with exhaust fan.
