Catherine Benno supports JMYS through strategic project management, client communications, and digital content development, helping ensure that each client's experience reflects the professionalism, clarity, and care that define the JMYS approach.
With more than two decades of leadership experience spanning teaching, administration, higher-ed, and work in an education technology startup environment, Catherine has led large teams, managed complex initiatives, and designed systems that support both people and outcomes. Her work consistently centers on creating thoughtful structures that help individuals make confident, well-informed decisions.
Catherine brings both professional and personal perspective to her work with JMYS. She and her husband Mark are active cruisers and owners of a Nordhavn 55, currently preparing for extended passagemaking. Through their own journey from coastal living to long-range cruising, Catherine understands firsthand the research, planning, and emotional considerations that accompany the decision to purchase a trawler.
At JMYS, Catherine works behind the scenes to organize content, support marketing, refine client resources, and facilitate clear communication throughout the buying and selling process. Her work helps translate Jeff Merrill's extensive industry expertise into accessible guidance that supports thoughtful decision-making for clients pursuing the long-distance cruising lifestyle.
